Editorial team

The short answer
Moma Store NYC is written by a small independent editorial team focused on New York apartments. We research Amazon listings, measure layouts against common NYC floor plans, and score every piece with the same published formula.
What we do before recommending a piece
- Read the full Amazon listing: dimensions, panel count, materials, hanging hardware and seller.
- Record demand signals Amazon displays (such as “bought in past month”) with the month we observed them.
- Check the piece against real layouts: an 84-inch sofa on a 12-foot wall, a queen bed between two windows, a 9-foot prewar ceiling.
- Write what we’d skip — every product page lists drawbacks.
What we don’t claim
Unless a page says so, we have not physically tested a piece; our recommendations come from listing data, measurements and fit analysis. Where data is missing — a size, a material, buyer reviews — we say it’s missing rather than guess.
Credentials
Individual editor bios and credentials are published here as named contributors sign articles. Until then, every page is a team byline and every claim is checkable against the linked listing.
