Thalasse Geometric Sandstone Architectural, Black/White

Why we picked it

A single sandblasted architectural panel in black and white. One piece, real texture, and the lowest tier for Thalasse relief — the right entry point if you are not ready to hang a three-panel set.

What we like — and what we’d skip

Who it’s for

Best for: Entryways, bedrooms and office walls.

Not for: Wide sofa walls without companion pieces.

Measured against the two-thirds rule, the piece spans about 24 inches hung, so it suits furniture roughly 30–40 inches wide. Hang it so the center of the group sits at 57 inches from the floor, or 8–10 inches above the furniture — whichever is higher. Our measuring guide walks through it with tape.

Hanging and care

Dimensional pieces are heavier than prints. Use two hooks per panel into studs or rated drywall anchors; adhesive strips are not appropriate. In prewar buildings with plaster walls, drill slowly with a masonry bit or use the picture rail if your apartment has one. Dust relief surfaces with a soft brush or compressed air — never a damp cloth.

See renter-friendly hanging and how to hang a set of three.
