Thalasse Wabi Sabi Sandstone Panels, 3-Piece

Why we picked it

The only Thalasse piece with an observed demand signal, and our top relief pick. Irregular, eroded-looking sandstone forms in stone neutrals embody wabi-sabi: imperfect, quiet, and better the longer you look.

What we like — and what we’d skip

Who it’s for

Best for: Calm living rooms and bedrooms in glass towers or lofts.

Not for: Dark rooms with no side light, where texture disappears.

Measured against the two-thirds rule, the piece spans about 76 inches hung, so it suits furniture roughly 95–127 inches wide. Hang it so the center of the group sits at 57 inches from the floor, or 8–10 inches above the furniture — whichever is higher. Our measuring guide walks through it with tape.

Hanging and care

Dimensional pieces are heavier than prints. Use two hooks per panel into studs or rated drywall anchors; adhesive strips are not appropriate. In prewar buildings with plaster walls, drill slowly with a masonry bit or use the picture rail if your apartment has one. Dust relief surfaces with a soft brush or compressed air — never a damp cloth.
